Photokina 2016…..

No production Voigtlander 58/1.4 EOS lenses left the factory.

Leica did introduce some more SL lenses,
but the SL's popularity may not out last the on the shelf introduction of Fuji's new digital medium format camera.
24MP vs 50MP, que as mas macho?

Stephen

Thanks for the info on that lens, Stephen.

......Both Canon and Nikon seem to be digging themselves a deeper hole.....

So many different ways to improve things, need to tweak their business model a bit. Nikon has the Series 1 system that they could come out with some primes that are true Nikkor quality. Don't know Canon well enough to make a recommendation.

No new products or same old same old will not generate any sales. Yes a large part of their market has been disrupted, don't give up, find some niches that you can make and own.

I am not a digital camera expert, but I read that the new Olympus OM-D "motor drive" is now 60 frames per second. It fixes the spray and pray problem: now just spray - no need to pray.

...and the New lens for m4/3 25 F 1.2 ...

The performance of the lens looks very good.
But if bought for speed, the current smaller and cheaper Panasonic/Leica 25/1.4 could be faster ( light transmission T number ) due to the large number of elements on the Olympus - 19.

Panasonic 25/1.4 has 9 elements T=1.7 https://www.dxomark.com/Lenses/Panasonic/Panasonic-Leica-Summilux-DG-25mm-F14-mounted-on-Olympus-OM-D-E-M1---Measurements__909

Panasonic 42.5/1.2 Nocticron has 14 elements and a T of 1.6 https://www.dxomark.com/Lenses/Panasonic/Panasonic-Leica-DG-Nocticron-42-5mm-F12-ASPH-mounted-on-Olympus-PEN-E-PL5__839

Interesting to know, thanks. The idea is a 1.2 lens should have a good bokeh which I'm told to be the difficult point with the m 4/3 system.
I do not own the system (yet?) just evaluating.
