Ive had this lens for sometime now and have yet to try it out. Was looking for some examples to make me break it out sometime soon.

I'll try to find some photos I've taken with it.. I LOVE this lens. Very sharp. I'm still kicking myself for selling it to get the f/1.8.. :bang: I've been thinking about buying another one.. I would definitely try it out! I don't think you'll be disappointed

Awesome thanks! I was actually considering doing the same. Maybe I'll hang on to it now 😉

Nikkor 35mm f3.5 on a S3. It was done with one of my last rolls of APX 25. Stand development 95 min in Rodinal 1:200.

with a 1.8 and a 2.5 in the market, will there still be users for this lens?

I chanced upon one of these at a really nice price. Still thinking if i should just buy and keep one of these

I recently picked one cheap off ebay.
I just received it and was looking at the filter thread..where on earth can you still find such a small filter for this lens🙂

Unlike de 2.8cm, the filter for this lens simply cover the lens only.

And do you know where can i find a rear cap for it cheap?

Ive got some examples here, but taken with the lens mounted to the Sony Nex 5.

I stupidly sold mine (nice black one) and my S2. However, I got sellers remorse I bought another, in chrome this time (later version). I'm looking for an S or S2 body to use it on now.

I have the f:2,5 version too which is a cracking lens but the f:3,5 version just has something the 2.5 doesn't so is worth checkiing out.
Mike.

Hi Mike

I personally feels that each lens has its own unique character..
By de way, how did u get the s mount work on nex?

Was thinking if i shld invest one so to easier test my lens..
M4/3 is out, bcos of the 2x crop factor. Nex seems like a choice

Hi Pikapig, glad the pics were of use.

Yes the character is important and sometimes the sharpest lens doesn't produce the nicest pics, it depends on mood and subject and also which film you choose (or what settings you use on the camera or how you post process for digital)

I got one of the cheap S mount to nex adapters on ebay for about $30. I shimmed the adapter with silver foil ( I think about 8 layers) so now infinity on the focus scale of the lens is in focus at infinity so I can use it scale focus without using the LCD.

I'd go for the new NEX with built in evf if you can afford it. I miss using a vf when I use the nex.

I had a m4/3 gf1 before the nex and shot a whole weeks holiday in France with it and the 35mm C-Biogon (so 70mm equivalent FL) I didn't find it too much of a problem, I just made the decision not to take anything wider. I do wish for an affordable mirrorless full frame body though.

A digital Nikon SP would be very nice, but probably out of my price range.
