Photos from your Nikkormat.

Thank you, Highway! Yes, they are from Ronda, Spain, in 1973.

Nikkormat FTn, Nikkor 50mm f2, TriX.

Wonderful. And all I can think is that there is NO WAY the prints you got from the negatives back then could be as sharp as these scans are. That's partly why, for me, these look like they were taken last week.

Of course the prints are sharper. They show more detail, these scans stop showing more detail at the point where the pixels become visible.

In fact these scans ("save for web") are very small, only 1200 pixels at the short side of the frame.

Thank you for your compliments however.

Regards,

Erik.

In The Netherlands aren't any good photobook publishers. Photobooks are never much of a succes here. They usually end up in the surplus-shops.

Erik - one suggestion is to publish it yourself, either hardcopy or as an e-book.

I don't have anything of such interest to offer. And I'm glad you said 'nikkormat' because I cannot remember what variety mine was in about 1966/67. It was probably the Ftn because I remember the 'nikon shuffle' as the lens was attached (to get the meter to register), and on wiki it is said that this came in with the FTn.

This was taken at a hotel in the bush, about 1967
