Photos taken with wide angle F-mount Nikkors

I hope that a 28mm is still considered wide enough, even if cropped.

Updated the thread title to wide angle SLR lenses so its not limited to Nikkors. Nice scene Julio! For posters, please say what lens was used.

I love wide angle for street and use 21 28 and 35 zeiss on a D700 and FM3a and F100 and M7 with biogons 21 and 35/2.8 (TriX and Portra)...

OneANT, your first picture is amazing. Was it a fortuitous street shot, or was it posed? The detail and the expression are wonderous.

Its a street photo, good enough it seems that even Zeiss thought it worth using.

- how is Manual Focus on the F100?

The F100 is a bit of a surprise, the viewfinder is good, really good. Focus pops on all FLs. Its a great body for manual focus lenses.

I did get a Beattie split prism for it a while back so that it would match my D700 and katzeye but it was really bad. Nothing on the web, not anywhere so I make every effort to warn anyone off buying the Beattie. I was lucky they accepted its return but you dont want to get stuck, its a bad design. You cannot see anything till you achieve focus so the silly thing blocks the view as you compose. You cannot see focus arriving, you can only see once you are focused, is nothing like a Katseye on a D700 but it doesn't need a split screen anyway.

The F100 is underrated except by those that own one. It has a build like a D700 and the shutter and film advance is very smooth and a very satisfying sound. They sell for next to nothing and like new and its a beautiful mistake, your 105 would be stunning on one if you got it cleaned.
I've had a F90x, 801, F3HP, F5. Need to try the F4 and maybe the F6 but the F100 stops me, I'd buy another in a heartbeat, the balance is stunning.

And if you get one add a nikon eyecup.
