Kiu, it look's like its a warm late afternoon in summer in you're photo, but with Vince's changes it looks like we've jumped straight into a cold winter day. As Vince said two different personalities!

Jon

It was kinda in-between. To be precise it was at sun-down in early December 2006 but middle of Autumn in San Diego is like summer in Boston!

What I saw was actually in Between my original and Vince's re-do, not as Bright as I showed and not as dark as Vince imagined.

There is a little mist in the middle of the picture where the Pier reaches the beach, I think that softened up the whole scene.

Might as well keep the thread going.

The first photo, with the cat, shows the lens's very unique characteristic, how out-of-focus areas get sharper along the edges than in the center, as though somehow depth of field increases along the edges. Most noticeable in the powerlines. Maybe, for whatever reason, the design of the lens has more depth of field on the edges than in the center, if that's even possible.

Protester against something. I think the guy is pointing out a spelling mistake! 35mm f1.8 2005 version.

I think if the lines are moving away from the POV of the lens, it would become softer

That's a great photo Roland!

That's a great photo Roland!

I've driven over the bridge in the fog many times with short visibility, but never seen it from from this spot with the fog like that, always windy up there though. It's refreshing to see the landmark like that.
