Photo's with Equipment that you are Proud to Own.

The SWC image took my breath away. I have always wanted to use such a camera. I should not have bought a Lux.

My Autocord is special as it was one of the first cameras I repaired. Nothing too complicated - just cleaning the shutter blades - but that was enough to make me proud to have a functional one. 🙂

I love my Rolleiflex TLR cameras. The Tele Rollei has a special place among my cameras.
I bought if from someone in Australia, then sold it to someone in Germany. It got damaged in the mail, so I bought it back. Bought spare parts from Holland. and got it fixed in the USA. Its Sonnar lens is very special.

Raid- that is one of the best pictures of your girls that you have ever posted.

Brian L- that is a gripping image. Repairing a camera is an acheivement, and using the camera as it was intended adds to the pride of owning it.

This photo was shot with a Konica S III with fixed Konishikoru Hexanon 47/1.9, Ferrania 400 film, only the second roll through the camera. It is special because of the cirumstances through which it ended up in my hands. Thanks again, Roger. Man, that lens is sharp ...

It took eleven years for me to finally acquire my Leica M kit. I started out with a few Nikon film SLRs, then went through a succession of early adopter digital cameras which left me with a lot of lackluster digital photos. I knew about Leicas for a long time but it took awhile to get around to owning one. I'm proud to own and love to use my Leica M.

I have several cameras that fit the definition of Mr. Sweeney. Certainly my Fujica ST 901, but it isn't RF. In RF, I guess it would be my Super Press 23 and my Recomar 33 with RF.

Here's one from the Recomar.

Huh? Nothing shows up in the post. There should be a link to http://www.flickr.com/photos/45551180@N06/4853970706/ but there isn't. Must be flickr at it again? I couldn't see this much detail when I was standing there taking the photo. I really like that camera. I have yet to experiment with the tele and wide aux lenses I have for it.

Dear Brian,

The very idea of being proud of a camera is alien to me. 'Pleased with', I can understand, but not 'proud of'.

Almost all the pictures on my site are taken with cameras I'm pleased with.

Cheers,

R.

Great thread.

Two photos with my two favorite rangefinders.

I get your drift, Brian...

I am very proud of owning my late dad's Contax over the last 25 years. It is not everyday that you get to do this with the same camera and lens, 56 years apart:

Just grazing on this thread and came across this. These two are a wonderful experience on so many levels - thank you.

As I said earlier. Not particularly proud to own anything. I am however proud of the camera that took this picture, as I built it myself:

What is strange is that my best/favorite photos have absolutely nothing to do with the camera that it was taken with. My all time favorite was a portrait taken with a Yashica Minister D, indoors, no flash.

I have plenty of other I like nearly as well, but I need to read the details to discover what gear I used.
