I don't have many pictures yet .. just from the first roll, Contax I (1934), Zeiss Sonnar f2, Kodak, T-Max 100

Officially there is only one version, but I follow the book by Kuc. In fact there are many more differences between the cameras as the Contax I was in fact an experimental camera.

Erik.

Right, of course "officially" it's just the Contax I. It just seems like most discussions of this camera denote 6 versions, not 7, using the letters A through F. Identification information for these are found online. Not sure about the Kuc book as I don't have it, but I'm curious where the extra version is found.

Usually people call the version 1 the Contax I with one or two pimples. Kuc found out that there is a pre pimple Contax I without pimples. That is the v1. Without slow speeds, of course, and very rare.

...or dimples...as described in many books...but indeed they are convex and therefore pimples.

Erik, as always your pictures are great and encourage me to have a go at improving my Contax to the point where it is worth risking a film but at the moment a Pentina (urk!) is sitting on my desk looking sad.
