Apart from a CZJ Tessar there is little to recommend it unless you want to look like someone out of a cheap '60s sci fi movie...
That's usually enough for me. I've actually got a mostly working one on hand which I found at a local market with original manual and box. I say "mostly" because the shutter is fine, but the aperture no longer opens and closes automatically making focusing a bit more lengthy. I'm OK with this, as it's not the first choice for rapid imaging. Might even take it out on the weekend as I've yet to put a film through it, and Rick Drawbridge has demonstrated that the Tessar can deliver good results.
Fantastic images from eighty-plus year old cameras above. Thank you for sharing them. Despite the consternation that can occasionally be involved in actually using a vintage Contax, perhaps they help explain to the interested observer why some of us still wish to photograph with them.

One more. I can't remember exactly but this was probably my pre-war black and nickel 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar, which mostly lives on the Contax I.

Contax I is definitely not an everyday kind of camera for me...more like every once in a while when I'm feeling it. Otherwise it's my Leica or Nikon...
