What is your shutter time experience/rule of thumb when you shot with your M without light meter?

(1/30-1/60 f1.4-f2 indoor light at night seems ok for me. ~ISO200)

What is your experience?

Depends (obviously) but ISO 1600 1/60th f/2 is what I shoot on the Leica and ISO 3200 1/30th f/3.5 on my Autocord.

If I'm in a pub or place which has good ambient lighting I can sometimes drop to f/2.8.

The EV should change with the film speed. EV 15 at ISO 100 is different from EV 15 at ISO 1600.

This chart is no good. :(

Who told you that? They were wrong.

If your meter says EV 15, you need to figure out what that means for the film speed you're shooting.

The archives have a gazillion earlier incarnations of this thread. Those threads might be worth perusing, if only because you'll get opinions from some folks who opt not to respond to this one.

no chart is ok - it is slide one - you line up light conditions with asa - and it show you combination of f stop and exposure time...
