Got my VT today with working meter. The ? I have has to do with the meter and is it supposed to couple to the camera as far as the shutter speed dial goes . Kind like the old Pentax SV's and such.

On the Bottom of the shutter dial that is on the meter there are 4 little prongs but none of them look like they are supposed to be attached to the dial on the camera . I assume they just act more like a lock, or to keep it in position while you are not really using the meter. I really like the film advance lever on the bottom . ( very fast) I just shot my first roll through it and will post some pics soon .

I think I just found the answer about the meter, none of the canons had meters that coupled .

Hello Tom,

As far as I know, the coupled meter only from the model VI has been introduced, because all shutter-speeds with one button on the top of the camera can be set.

Best Regards
Norbert

My VT Deluxe (don't know how or if it differs from the plain VT) was excellent for PJ work, what with the 35 and 50 frames -- even if not so accurate -- and the fast winding.
