I agree. The 35mm equiv is too large for me. However, if you look at the x100 design you'll notice that a large portion of the lens is housed in the body, so it isn't as small as it seems. I'm going to check out the SLR magic 23mm 1.7 when it comes out. It's cheaper than fuji lenses, but no doubt won't be as good (if the 35mm 1.4 fuji lens is anything to base it on).
Yeah, I didn't think it would ever be as small as the X100 23, since probably half of that lens is inside of the body. But I didn't expect it to be as big as the 60mm macro either (which is what it looks like right now). They're all still prototypes though (some of the lens don't have the electrical contacts yet), so I guess we'll see what happens. For example... they really should have DOF scales on those larger primes, those focus rings look huge!
The X Mount SLR Magic 23mm f1.7 seems really interesting. It doesn't seem that much smaller than the Fuji version, but more options in X Mount is nice to have. I'm kinda surprised Zeiss didn't announce a 35mm Biogon equivalent.
I still put out hope that Voigtlander will make an X Mount lens line up as well. I'd really love to see an X Mount equivalent of the tiny 35mm Color Skopar or the 40mm Nokton.

It looks like the 14f2.8 was only one that got the distance scale treatment on the lens barrel... But sense the future lenses are prototypes in these photos I hope they do the same on some of the other fixed length lenses...
