Fujifilm XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Lens for X-Pro1

I have my X-Pro1 with 35/1.4 now. Today, sometime, probably late in the day, UPS will deliver my 14/2.8. I had prior experience with both these lenses and knew they were very, very good.

Now, I see the Fujifilm XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Lens will be available in the near future. It seems to me the addition of this lens would give my kit the ability to handle just about anything except macro, which is not a priority for me.

I use the 35 with the OVF almost exclusively. I use the OVF with the 14 and once-in-a-while the EVF. I would use the EVF exclusively with the 50-140.

But I remember from my first XP1 how DIM the EVF seemed in bright sunshine to the point I could not properly frame the image. Is this just my problem or have others found this to be the case? I'll have to see if I increased the brightness of the display if that would also carry over to the EVF. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I recently added the 55-200. It's shockingly good.
Perfect from wide open at every focal length.
I can highly recommend it.

The 55-140 I was afraid would be a bit more money and weight than I might wish to carry around.
The excellent IS in the 55-200 makes up for the half stop of aperture.

As for the EVF. I'm not having any trouble with it.
I crank up the brightness.
Also important is to turn off exposure preview.
Not sure of the actual menu title atm.
It's that feature that pre-views the exposure in the evf and on the lcd.
I often shoot under-exposed to the cameras liking... always saving RAW so I can save highlights.
If the exposure pre-view is on the evf can become too dark when an exposure is held back 1/3-1 full stop.

I now have two X-Pros and the EVF brightness is no longer a problem. I didn't realize that the EFV and LCD panel brightness can be controlled separately. Nice thing to know.
