Nice photographs.
In the hands of an artist great photos can be made even with an old Leica!

Strange way of rangefinding
I have one of those too, unfortunately one of the lenses is cracked

Looks more like a periscope. But it apparently works well. I like the idea of having the option to put a viewfinder directly above the lens and as close as possible to its axis.

I was joking, Erik has positioned the FODIS back to front

Insanely good shots. Nice work. I am really impressed by the capability of the photographer and the camera/lens.

Thank you all!
Usually I don't keep the rangefinder "FONOR" on the camera, but in my pocket. A Fonor is incredibly precise. They date back from before WW1 when Leitz made them for hunters and so on. Of course huge models of them were used in WW1 for the artillery.
It is nice to use a SBOOI in the accessory-shoe. The built in finder of the Leica I is unusable. It is more a 35mm finder than a 50mm one.
The quality of the lenses is very uneven. This one is very good. I cleaned it inside to remove the haze from the elements.
The number of the camera is 58734 (1930).

I keep thinking I want an early Leica (Leica A), but only if it were a truly "usable" camera that I could actually use with satisfactory results. They're dang pretty, but I require function as well.
Erik seems to get "satisfactory" results.........No?
