Please ... at least state your first name

I'll stick with RML. 🙂 Shouldn't be too hard to remember what it stands for: RM stands for Remy Martin. Yes, of spirited nature. L stands for Lang. No, that's not Chinese. 🙂

As i've mentioned on a couple of occasions before, my name is Rasha, for french people Racha, for italians Rascia, People sometimes spell it like Russia, so Russians thank u for carrying my name 😀

My first does not go well in the english world.

John the Baptiste, in french Jean-Baptiste, in spanish Juan-Batista and in italian
Gian-Baptista.

So on the net i go with the initial of my first (double name) J-B.

If RML fell himshelf as a V.S.O.P. my initial always calls in my wife's mind........Whisky (J&B) 🙂

Cheers.

username = real name. I find using anything other than my real name far too confusing.

BTW how do I put other stuff in my signature - like cameras, inside leg measurement, cycling proficiency etc?

Gid

<--- just drop the R at the end...
but i sort of thought that the right of passage was selling me a camera or lens etc...
Then you get my full name and address...which means that a good deal of people here have most of my info....and they can probably take a pretty accurate guess at checking account balance...

but for the sake of conversation...
chase allgood
easy to spell for the most part.

Glenn: Just run a google search with my name. It is pronounced "Ra-ed".

I'm known as Herr Hett to customers and most in the company. As Volker to those who meet me on parties or in pubs once in a while and as Socke to my friends.

I got the Nickname Socke when I was 15 at a birthday where a girl called me Locke (lock) due to my, then, unfashionable short hair and was misunderstood. Since I'm Socke, my younger brother is called Söckchen.

Since the abolishment of monarchy in Germany 1918 my grand grandfather gave up his peerage and the family name was shortend to Hett so there is no need to address me as Sir Volker or Baron 🙂

Jonas

I realise I don't have that in my username or signature, but I try to put it at the end of every post (I'm quite forgetfull though), or at the very least pm's and emails. I might just put it under my username..

Jonas

Oscar R. that's my pnet name as well.

I won't give my 'first' surname since I know of many people at work browsing photography forums 🙄

But I can use the second, Oscar R. García 🙂

I think I'll start using just my initials from now on.

When I agree with something, I use all three. Disagree, use two.

Very nice, I like those.

Ralph U. here.

Generally I am all for first names but just as a thought, it can lead to some confusion. For instance, how many Frank's are there? I would quite like people to "sign off" with their name but when referiing to users, it might be better to use their username. If I said "ask Frank, he's got one" it could be FrankS, Sonnar2, Frank Granovski and apologies to any I have missed. (PS, I m not picking on Frank, it's just that those 3 are regular posters and I am easily confused 😀 )

OH, and welcome to the RFF 😛

Harold,

Thanks for the welcome. It is good to see an old friend here! 🙂

When I join this forum I did not know that nickname could not be modified later ! For this reason I choiced Robert (which is my real first name) and Blu which is a colour I like, it's similar to blues (i like that music) , is short, can be understood (more or less) in english, italian, french etc etc...At the end not bad from an impulsive choice !
