I have been olooking on ebay to try out the visoflex on my RD1.
I am confused:bang: between the OTZNO, the APDOO and R2D2 and C3PO I can't figure out what goes with what! This is the only camera nomenclature more complicated than CANON's new pro DSLR names ( 1DsMkIIINV2.1.11 etc.)
Can anyone point me to the right direction on information and description of the visoflex system(s)?
cheers.

My M5s need red dots!
Apparently, before they settled for numerical codes, the Leica people used to produces some random groups of letters and call their products that way. Hence, there's a particular lens hood known as IROOA, for instance, and a close up adapter of some sort called NOOKI. I have no further information to offer, but I'm sure someone will jump in to help.
I guess not very many people understood the Star Wars allusion in reference to the Leica names. It's easy to see if you remember Tatooine and other names like that. Problem? It took me a while to come up with that one. Go figure!

Not sure you're going to make a Viso fit. Even with a chimney finder, I think you may be in trouble with the arm that activates the mirror and shutter release. Maybe you can go all the way back to a Viso I and use the double cable release...?
Well, apparently people are doing this...you do need to remove the arm...see this thread: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13361&highlight=visoflex
The best source for decoding all the codes and how the actual hardware fits into the picture (some are very limited in their use, others almost universal in their application) the best thing to do is try to grab some old catalogs...
Further edit: Google is your friend: http://elshaw.tripod.com/Visoflex/Visoflex.html (scroll down)
