Please Don't Ever Photograph These Seven Things Again

Landscapes have been part of art since ancient times, no one is going to stop doing them. As Mudman pointed out with his great example, good concert photography is worth doing too. The other categories, I agree with the article, they're an abomination.

Guilty on all counts. I even made a living photographing concerts for about 18 months.

It's not a bathroom mirror, but I am ugly:

I have plenty in bathroom mirrors too, just not online. In my defence they usually are in nice places, like the Peninsula Hotel in Kowloon or the fabulous place we stayed in Rome, the name of which I have forgotten. I probably have a book's worth of "here's me in the bathroom some place nice" photos . . .

Well, if scenery and concerts are to be eliminated, there goes 70% of what I shoot.

But, yeah, the shoot-yourself-in-the-bathroom-mirror thing HAS GOT TO BE STOPPED. Seems a lot of folks think this is way hip to do, to the point that so many people have done it that it's now totally lame (though I am guilty of this crime, too).

Kinda like how now EVERYBODY gets tattoos, so it's kinda becoming low rent again, instead of hip...

Empty chairs and their shadows (thanks Stewie)

That's more than 7, sorry.

I know, let's just stop photographing people, places, and things. That should cover it for all you holier than thou types.

I love when someone tells us what we should do or not with our hobby as though their opinion is more valid than our own.

i have waited an eon for someone to say it... please, friends don't let friends photograph the backs of peoples heads.

or the side.
Thank god no one ever told that to Eggleston...
