At 20, in the mustard-yellow suedette trousers, mosquito boots and kaftan, with the hair down to my shoulders, or the jeans and Tibetan shirts at 30... Yeah, fine. I wore what I felt like then, and I wear what I feel like now.
Even when I was 16 (501s, roll-necks, ex-Bundeswehr combat jacket), I figured that the girls who wanted the fashion of the day would probably not be interested in me, so why should I worry about them?

I hate to be blunt, but forget the wife and bring your Leica to Asia. There's plenty of attractive ladies that appreciate film cameras here

Sounds to me like you have a legal contract for co-habitation instead of a marriage. A Marriage is made of more sturdier material at multiple layers than a legal document alone can quantify.

Reminds me of the fact that my gf got mad because i gave her my Gr1v and used an OM10 myself--- because she thought i just wanna give her cheap cameras while keeping the fancy ones myself XD

I've always been a boots and jeans type of bloke and when I made the outrageous decision to get married for the second time in the early nineties my wife tried to change the way I dressed. She bought me a pair of those awful 'boat shoes' with the leather drawstring running around the edge and suggested I could wear them when we went out on Sunday mornings to have coffee and croissants wth her trendy friends!
She's long gone and so are the shoes!
