I agree, and I pre-ordered my copy of Lightroom from Amazon today. There is also a sort of interesting interview with Lightroom's daddy on http://www.since1968.com/ .

I have not used bible on the epson files yet. But I was always floored with the pure speed of bible. Lightroom was decent but since most of the features made it into CS3 and bridge I don't see a compelling reason to invest in it. I could change my tune later. I LOVE aperture but since apple doesn't support Epson files I find it useless from time to time.

And a Linux version too (that's how I use it).

It has grown into a really nice application since I started to use it (it was the only game in town for Linux, maybe it still is), incorporating a lot of tools that are really useful: noise reduction, healing/cloning, etc.
