For 1,800 you can likely find a used Noctilux. Maybe add a few hundred. Proably not the kind of answer you were looking for, but something you might want to keep in mind if you're dropping so much dough.

btw people, 1800 is the buy it now price, any of you who have spent any time at all on ebay doing anything know that people bid below the buy it now price so it wont actually sell for that much...

You could also buy a new black gray market Summilux from Tony Rose at popflash.com for $1297 (he is currently out of stock) or a new gray market silver one for $1697.
How much is the black paint worth? No idea but to me its worth no more than a regular black lens which would be the $1300 Tony is charging.

There are a couple of "bargains" on KEH right now. One is the black 43mm wetzlar which Peter and I mentioned, for $695, and the other one (or two?) generations older, chrome, for $665. If it is the later chrome version (version 2?) the optics should be the same as the wetzlar (version 3), as the optics of the pre-asph on ebay.
