In my quest to learn more about films, I tried Plus-X pushed to 500 ISO, souped in Tmax Developer (1+4) and developed in room temperature water of 30.5C for 5mins.
The images are more fine-grained than my Tri-X pictures. Shadow details seem to be lesser due to the push, but perfectly acceptable. Despite a moderate agitation, the highlights did not blow.
As for sharpness, I can't really comment, as I am still learning.
For the pix, all except the first have been "curve" adjusted. Scanner used is the Epson V600 at 2400 dpi.
The first 2 were taken with the Canon 50mm 1.5f. The last was taken with a hazy and scratchy Summitar.
All of them were shot open wide at 1.5 ~ 2f and 1/30s
