Is there any difference in the film IQ? Or is the base thickness the only difference?

Kodak Professional was film stocked by dealers who keep it refrigerated and fresh for professionals. For professionals you bought the film in lots to ensure consistency from roll to roll on a shoot (where you might go thru a couple of hundred rolls in a day or two). Otherwise, as stated, it is the same film.
