Brian Mottershead resignation from photo.net:
Brian Mottershead , sep 11, 2006; 08:10 a.m.
I'd like to thank everybody who wished me well in the recent (now deleted) threads. I did get to read all of them through the alerts that were being sent, and I appreciated those posts greatly.
A bit of news is that I resigned from photo.net this morning. I suppose that means, among other things, that Philip can't continue to prohibit me from posting on the site, but I don't plan to do so anyway after this. Perhaps Ray Fraser will allow this post to remain long enough for Site Feedback regulars to be able to read it.
Anyway, thanks again for your support over the past few years, especially to the subscribers, moderators, the wonderful photographers, and the forum posters and commenters who have made photo.net what it is. I hope our paths will cross again on the Internet soon.
The thread got deleted - well, of course - and a new one saying goodbye to Brian was started. Here is Brian's comments to what happened to THAT thread:
Strangely, only 17 of the responses have not been deleted. I don't know why it was necessary to delete the other 85 responses. They were all nice; only one or two had harsh things to say about the new regime; and they were all going to be gone in a few hours anyway. It seems like the only ones retained were the ones that just said "Goodbye" and didn't say anything else. Is it really so intolerable that 85 people in addition to saying goodbye had nice things to say about how I ran the site for four years? Really, how pathetic.
So yes...Love Phil...or you're gone...
