Hi all:
I currently use a DSLR. My work is 99% seascapes. 99% of the time I use a monopod, IS lens and polarizer. I often also use split ND filters. I will be using the M8 for completly different types of work, e.g. light weight travel, bike riding with camera, walking around town looking for the "decisive moment", covering the local comm'l fishing boats and crews, etc. However, there may be that time where the perfect sky presents itself, and only a polarized shot will do, and I have the M8 with me. I used to have a Leica swing out polarizer that I used with my Contax G2, but I sold it on the bay, when I went completly digital. I found and bought a unique solution for polarizers for use on the M8 which should work even with ultra wides (21mm and 24mm for example). It is a series of adapter rings of different sizes (39mm, 46mm, 49mm & 55mm ) that screw into a large ring that is "vented" all the way around. This ring accepts 77mm polarizers. It is called "Filter View". It's rather expensive for what it is, but it's USA made, of very high quality, by a small shop, and fills a definite need. I have nothing to do with the firm, but the item should be a hit with M8 (and other RF owners). It can be seen here: http://www.photoequip.net/

Sorry to disillusion you Dave :( Leicagoodies makes this for a similar price and for five dollars this one is as good and just as elegant:
In this thread (extra step-up rings are cheap...)

Thanks for the Info Jaap. The one from Leicagoodies is similar, but costs $5.00 more. I wish I were as handy and imaginative as you are; could have saved a lot of $ by making my own. Oh well, for those not inclined to make their own, the FilterView is a nice product.
