Gonna buy a polaroid big shot soon, and was just wondering if I have to use the Fujifilm FP-100C. Are there no other choices? Thanks~

I guess you're aware of Fuji FP-3000B? The black and white fuji packfilm.. Coincidentally I have some for sale if you're interested. Are you also aware that the Fuji packfilms are no longer produced? So dont pay too much for the camera i'd say.. There are some rumours of other small companies that want to produce packfilm from what I have read, but nothing guaranteed yet.

FP-3000B won't work in the Big Shot without using some sort of ND filter. The big shot was made for ISO 75-100 film so FP-100C is your best bet (note it is also discontinued).

I believe the Big Shot was designed to be used with ISO 75 - 100 and Magicubes (flash) all the time. I have a pack of FP3000B loaded in my Big Shot now. In the shade on a sunny day, no flash, and the Lighten/Darken wheel a tad to the darken, I got a decent exposure.

Edited to add:
My son Kevin and I just stepped outside to shoot these. FP3000B as above. Unedited scans. Exposure is pretty close.

I have a Big Shot too. Getting good exposures with FP3000b is tricky, but doable. An ND gel filter does help. Easy with FP100c and a MagiCube.

It seems like such an incredibly one-dimensional camera. But intriguing too.
I do have some Magicubes and FP100C I'll get to eventually. Looking forward to channelling my inner Andy Warhol.

I played around with one of these many years ago. For portraits, some folks were a little put-off with it, especially when the flash went off. I bought another one last year before Fuji discontinued the film packs, but never got around to using it. Gave the packs to a friend of mine, and will put the camera on display when I have a bigger place to do so.

@ thart2009: excellent! Even better than Andy W. :)

Ha! Thanks robert blu. It is such an odd camera, especially to the younger set.. Instant peel-apart film? Magicubes? Nobody ran when I asked to take their photo and they were all quick to smile. (Well, the dogs weren't terribly interested.)
