Hi Friends,
I volunteer at Creativity Explored in San Francisco. Creativity Explored is an art school, studio and gallery for disabled people. It is an incredible place and the work that is produced is stunning.
The have asked me to put together a photography workshop and I think Polaroid would be a good way to go. That way the students can explore basic photo technique as well as image manipulation (via emulsion transfer, etc) without needing a whole darkroom.
I would like to get 4-5 instant cameras to use in the workshop. If you have a camera sitting around doing nothing and would like to donate it, I would be eternally grateful. I will pay your postage from anywhere in the continental U.S. I could also provide a receipt for tax purposes.
Just about any camera would do. My only restriction would be cameras that take currently available Fuji instant film (which I think is the old Polaroid type 100?). I would be happy to take other types of cameras if you have a stash of film to go with it.
Thanks for your help. You can learn more about Creativity Explored here:
http://www.creativityexplored.org/
All cameras will become the property of Creativity Explored for the exclusive use of their artists and students.
Thank you for considering my request. PM me if you would like more information or if you would like to contact someone at the gallery directly.
with best regards,
Vince
