Well, I think I am a bit crazy when it comes to collecting gear. Most of you have seen my collection of Braun Paxette kit go from one body and lens to 3 bodies and 11 lenses, and now I have most of the bits of my Polaroid 450, too.

I found a box of Hi-Power Flashcubes on eBay, and also buy my film from there in bulk. I also got the cable release, close-up kit (snaps over the viewfinder and there's a filter on the lens) and cloud filter. I have cleaned up the camera and fixed the development timer and adapted the back so it takes the new Fuji film.

Here's an iPhone pic of the gear.

I really enjoy using the camera. I don't have a scanner at the moment so I'm placing the shots on backgrounds and taking pictures of the pictures. Here are some examples:

I think I have shown some of these pics before though.. but never mind.

This is interesting: I intend to adapt a Polaroid 110b to take a graflok back, so I can use it with regular 4x5 film and/or a Polaroid 545 back; apart from the Graflok back, I have all the necessary items.

What is this new fuji film ? Is it in 4x5 ? I understood Fuji has quit making 4x5 instant films ?

Stefan.

Thanks for the comments. the film is the FP3000B which is really nice, something about it and the flashcubes gives a really nice 'Hollywood' feel.

I'm enjoying reading the threads about converting and adapting the old bodies. I can see myself trying a project in the future and I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions.

Nice.

I'm in the market for a pack film Land camera. Hope to share with you soon.

I was having to change the back of the film pack for the Polaroid type as it's slightly flatter and there's a pair of spring arms next to the self timer which squeezed the fuji pack too tightly so I couldn't remove the tabs/pull out the film.

That was a long sentence!

Dude! I know what you mean. Ever since I got my fuji instant film holder for my Crown Graphic I have been running around looking for things to shoot.

Your's is one of the very few mentions I've see of the Polaroid cable release adaptor. I have one too that came with a camera I bought at a thrift store.

Whoops

eBay has cost me dearly this evening.

For the 450 I just bought some Impossible Sepia, Chocolate and Blue shade film.

Then I bought an absolutely mint supercolour 1000 body,

...And Gold Frame Silvershare film.

Here are two more I just took today. When I create these pictures it feels like I should say I 'Made' them, somehow. Love the whole tactile experience.

I do the same thing, with my Hasselblads and Instant Fuji Film. I have about six boxes of each of the Fuji emulsions left, 100, 400, and 3000 B&W, and 100 FP Color. I guess it's an obsession for me too, since I have six Hasselblad and NPC Instant Film Backs.

I also shoot digital photos of the finished 'roids. It is so much fun to produce them, and makes for a unique presentation when completed.

Good Work. Keep going with it.

With the 1000 camera is it possible to swap the film pack half way through, or do I need to use it all before swapping?

Just won a bid for a 250 with portrait kit and the standard bulb flash. The latter I hope to adapt to use an SB26 or similar, a la the FPP solution. Anyhow, can´t wait till it comes. Just hope its not a dog.

Source of reasonable FP3000B? At home they want $35 a pack!

Righteous! I shoot a 110A converted to packfilm, I've run a good bit of Fuji stuff through her. It has a rangefinder on it so it's still legal on this site ;) . Heres a couple of shots from mine:
