Of course you did. I'm so confident in this that I will catch and eat a small dog from the neighborhood if I'm wrong.

The dogs in the neighborhood will sleep easy tonight.
Looking forward to seeing some of your images Joe.

Improving daily--I think.
Joe,
I'm not sure why but I often find that threads you start or participate in are usually very entertaining--this one is no exception. Congrats on your purchase. From everything I've read the X100 is a dandy little camera and I'm sure you'll enjoy it to the fullest. Can't wait to see Edmonton through the viewfinder of a Fuji...

I was glad Eric was into it. It doesn't get as much love as it should at the RFF meet-ups... not fancy enough perhaps (compared to people's M9s with Noctiluxes and what not)?
I think the lack of true manual focus makes people not like it.

Joehood/adapter not in stock but one is mine when they do arrive.
protector already on.
filter to follow...
congrats! I think it's a great camera...
about the adapter, and if all you need is a filter: take a 49mm filter, take out the glass, screw it on the camera opposite to what we are all used to (the "female" threading towards the camera) and then you can use any 49mm filter on it...
Enjoy!!

Joe,
Congratulations. I'm sure you will enjoy using it. Look forward to seeing how your output compares to the stuff you were producing with the RD1s. At the very least it makes lens choice easy
Regarding filters - I found it much more flare prone when using a filter (with the Fuji hood), so now I just use the hood and flare has reduced considerably.
Also, as KM25, I'm just shooting jpegs - I like the output better than I can get from LR3

I might tweak exposure etc, but nothing serious as it is usually fine. The jpeg output is very good. I have it all set flat except for noise reduction at low, sharpness medium hard and shadows medium hard (from KM25) and film type velvia.
