I like the Pro 160S and 800Z a lot. In fact I have some 800Z in my R3A right now and need to shoot it up.

Astia is my favorite color film ever but for most use, if I'm shooting color, it's Ektar 100. Yeah, apples & oranges mentioning E6 and C41 in the same comparison, but it's what I shoot when not shooting digital.

Kodak Ektar 100, Fuji Pro 400H and Kodak Gold when I run out of the other stuff. (Good film is sold in very few places here in Monterrey, Mexico, and it's very expensive so I order it from B&H.)

"Fuji Reala 100 (if you can find it)". Why should it be hard to find it?

I love the Portra line and Fuji 800z. For slides Kodak E100VS rules.
I've always wanted to try Astia out.

Usually I shoot cheap films (I'm not a Pro hence I don't need a Pro film) :Superia 100,200 and 400
I live in Italy and the Fuji Reala is widely available but I don't love it 'cause I am in trouble scanning it (Magenta cast)...

Check out my blog!!!
I'm just waiting for my first ektar roll to come back from the lab but i constantly use Fujifilm 400h rated at 200asa and any of the portra films work well. I think we are spoiled when it comes to color negative!

i prefere kodak gold 400, the colors work best for me, a good compromise between contrast and dr, and i also love the way red looks on it.

You forgot Kodachrome!
It's still viable, at least for so many months.

Kodachrome was my slide of choice. Still some to burn, about 11 rolls now.
Generally though, I like Fuji Pro 400H and 160S. I've tried Portra and it's very nice but I prefer Fuji.
For general film use, I'm increasingly turning to Kodak Gold (100-400) which is nice and warm, good for the subjects I tend to do on these films which are portraits, quite a few of children and it suits the whole 'thing'
Whatever the thing is.
For good punchy almost Kodachrome replacement I use Ektar (shame you can't project it...) which is just wonderful. I would use it more but it's not a slide film. Still, it's an incredible C41 film.
Slide use, well I tend to go for Elite Chrome Extra Colour, but I also use Velvia 50, but quite sparingly as it is very contrasty and whilst I like what it can do, I prefer something a little more balanced. Of course, a 6x6 Velvia transparency exposed well is lovely.
I'm tending to shoot 160S/400H more in 120 as prices for 35mm 400H/160S are quite high, about £4 a roll (incl postage) -- but I do love shooting it in my M2.
Sometimes I find myself thinking "You know, it's time you took a look at that GF1, or EOS 40D or whatever again." Then I look at prints from 160S and 400H and think, naaaaaaaah!

Pretty much everything I can get my hands on except for the really cheap consumer films (although Superia 400 IS a fav. of mine).

I guess I'm the only one here that likes Ferinna Solaris. I shoot all kinds of color films. I still have boxes of the Kodak UC & HD color films. One film I really loved was the Kodak HD 200. I'm also in love with Portra 160NC. Kodak sent me 10 rolls of it free in the last film give a way! The only Kodak film I didn't like was the Max 800. Too grainy for me but I saw someone who shot it @ 400 & it looked superb so I think my remaining 800 speed film will be shot at that speed. Currently I'm using Ektar 100 & have 1 roll of Kodachrome 64 to shoot sometime before December.
