I haven't figured this out yet, only had it 5 weeks.
On a recent trip I took 2/3 of photos with 35mm and 1/3 with 15mm.
However, when I cut it all down to 6 keepers for printing - 2/3 were from the 15mm and 1/3 were from the 35mm. Odd.
Fluke? Maybe.

A Nokton 35/1.4, coded with B+W IR cut filter. Great lens, or at least the version I got.

The 24mm Elmarit has replaced the 50 Summicron as my main lens on the M8.

I voted for 21mm and I use a 2.8 21mm Biogon. Most recently I have been shooting with a 2.8/28mm Boigon. They are not coded so I may be working on getting that done. I only shoot B&W so I don't think it's as much of an issue. At least that's what the Leica salesman told me at the photo store. I would love to have a 24mm Leica lens for this camera.

CV Nokton 35/1.4 with IR cut filter. Also it is the only lens I have a filter for.

I use my M8 together with my WATE. This is an ideal combination. - I am not at all sure that the WATE works so well on a M9.

35 Zeiss Biogon. I'd go for the tri-Elmar if I could afford it.

a 21 2.8 ASPH, because of the crop my 35 BP 'chron becomes for like a 50. I miss the speed though, sometimes.
The speed is available, Johnny, if you'll pay for it!
FWIW I too have the 21 ASPH, but in honesty I use the slow 21/4.5 Biogon more...

Both a Zeiss C-Biogon 35mm and a 50mm Canon 1.2 LTM.
These days, the 35mm pretty much stays on all the time.

Summilux-M 35/2.0 ASPH Used 85% of the time and responsible for 98% of the keepers.
Would that be: Summilux-M 35/1.4 ASPHSummilux-M 35/2.0 ASPH Used 85% of the time and responsible for 98% of the keepers.
Or Summicron-M 35/2.0 ASPH
