Pop Quiz: What did I edit out of this photo?

I took this picture on a trip to Denver a few weeks ago, and knew as I was taking it that it was pre-ruined by something in the frame. As an exercise, I decided to see if I could persuasively remove the offending object, so I went at it with Pixelmator for twenty minutes or so. I'm just curious how obvious the edit is, and how long it takes you to find the spot. It's obvious to me, but I already know the answer!

FWIW, I did put a note on flickr that the photo was edited. Not trying to pass it off as untouched.

No chance, I'm not seeing it (and I'm quite good at picture manipulation). I didn't find any real clues screaming "this was edited!" 😉 (I even downloaded the big size and manipulated the levels too see if something that's off would show)

I didn't change anything at middle bottom...here's the original! Quite surprised it isn't more obvious.

I actually see that I kind of screwed up the overhang on the doors, but it still looks ok...

Would not have spotted that. I thought I saw a repeating pattern in the bricks of the wall, about halfway between the front grill of the car and the right side of the frame. Seems I was wrong. 🙂

Nicely done, and yes, photo greatly improved as a result. A good reminder to the rest of us that sometimes it is better not to be too precious about keeping things "straight out of the camera".
