I just received a curiosity bought on eBay: a nice example of a Porst Hapo 24E rangefinder (from around 1958). See this link for a picture. It seems to be identical to the 1953 Balda Baldina (see here), sold under the Hapo name by Porst in Germany (Hapo for Hans Porst).
My example looks in fairly good condition and seems to work (as far as I can tell without putting a film through it), except for the slow shutter speeds (1/15 and slower), where the shutter doesn't close by itself.
Does anyone have any experience with this camera or the Baldina? Also, any hints about what I could do about the slow shutter speeds (feasibility and cost of repair...)
Thanks,
