Okay, I'm doing a series of portraits on waterfront workers (longshormen / dockers), basically I'm grabbing them as they walk off the ship for smoko's and taking pictures as below.
I wanted to isolate them completely, and let faces and work gear tell us what it could. Its just the first few.
Are there any thoughts on this approach?

Lovely stuff ... I'd like to see a lot more of these.
These guys have the sorts of faces that are really worth photographing and I like the way you're going about it ... I think it's the perfect approach.

Keith, I have a lot more coming, just wanted to see how people thought the first 'felt' while I have time to change my set up.
I wanted to shoot these guys faces with a very soft touch as it were, but was wondering whethers might think that I have gone too soft.
