Thanks Erik. M9 Monochrom can produce very pleasing B&W images but I still enjoy shooting with B&W films more.Very nice digital B+W!

An underrated lens for portraits is the collapsible Summicron 50mm f2, the favorite of Cartier-Bresson. In my many years of looking at lenses, I have noticed that most collapsible Summicrons have scratched front lenses, except those with serial numbers beginning with "13". This portrait was taken with the collapsible Summicron with serial number beginning with "13" and at full aperture. Close examination of the face shows that even the finest details are reproduced.

I love my f/1.4 lenses for portraits, I have from all big 5 makers (some of them in different varieties) but I always go back to the Rokkor 58f/1.4. I just love its attitude towards light. It's younger sibling, the MD 50f/1.4 might be the sharpest f/1.4 I have but I never get results like this:
