I printed the photo on Ilford MGIV multigrade RC paper, along with several other prints, so that the Fine Arts photo professor at my school (I'm a teaching/lab assistant) would have prints to practice toning on. Blue split-toning, grabbed a shot of the finished print with my iPhone.

I love this split tone. I might have to give this ago myself.

Sears KS-2 with Vivitar 28-135mm Macro

Gotta give my Sears KS-2 (a rebranded Ricoh XR-7) a bit of credit... it's a really nice SLR camera with all the most important basic settings. For this shot I used the Vivitar MC 28-135mm f3.5-4.5 Macro lens. Great solid metal lens with push-pull zoom, not extraordinarily sharp, but a great all-round lens. I am waiting for a Pentax full-frame DSLR to put it on, it would make a great lens for video :)

One thing I like about the KS-2 is the manual 16 second exposure, which is fun for images like this:

A lot of "first"-s: my first ever shot with the recently acquired Pentax MX and the SMC 4/70-210; the first shot of the first roll of film; and one of my first scanned images.

And my first ever plunge into the monochrome (Delta 400; LX and the SMC 3,5/35-105).
