I once read an article that indicated that for a period of time the 75 Nikkors were being snapped up by movie makers, as they were a desirable theatric film lens.

A nice thing about the old focal plane Bronicas (S, S2, S2a, and through the EC series) is that the excellent Nikkor optics cannot, to my knowledge, be bodged onto modern digitals with any kind of adapter. Their lack of built-in helicals means you'd need some sort of whopping great adapter with a helical in it (unless you mount bellows, maybe?) that would be impractical, expensive, and heavy. Therefore in the lens market you're not up against hordes of DSLR and micro four thirds users (and concomitant inflated prices) the way you are with M42 lenses, old Leica glass, etc.

I want revive this thread. I borrowed a Bronica ETR. I used the 35mm Wide film back. It was difficult to compose without the 35mm grid line focusing screen.

Very nice picture, been using Bronica for a long time I didn't know there's the wide 35mm film back. Interesting results.

Glad to see this revival! Will load my Etrsi with 160 + 250mm for harbor seals at the coast. (Going to to a heavy camera bag with 690, Auotcord, Autorex, & digitals. But at least the Cambo stays home.)
Many BROwnie CAmera shots posted to other threads (rf645, love of medium format).

@Katie: ^ Good choice of picture to make your first wet print from! ^
Meanwhile: I think I have not posted this one elsewhere in other threads, but if I have, please forgive the cross-posting. Nothing special but I do like the OOF background rendition by these old Nikkors. Not a hint of noisy bokeh, even in foliage (typically the hardest test for any lens).
Bronica S2, Nikkor 75/2.8, Portra, processed at local pro shop, Epson 4490 scan. This was probably at f/4 or thereabouts.
