A quick guide to scanning on the epson? I have a V700 but struggle to get acceptable scans from it. So much much I hvae almost given it up and its now been a while since I last tried. Gotta know if Im to blame or the scanner. Could be the film holder so maybe I should getting a betterscanning holder for it.

What are you having trouble with? The betterscanning holder will help with film flatness, and you can adjust it to your scanner's plane of focus. I have the betterscanning holder, I've never adjusted mine though.
Awhile ago I wrote this guide that explains how I scan Ektar. It works for any colour negative film just as well.

Colton as you know, I love the colors of your photographs...
Here a photo I made in spring (2014):
And seems to work for color slides too.🙂 Don't exactly know what went wrong but following your workflow resulted in a good scan.
