Post Bronica Photos... Any format. I just want to see Bronica photos

Hello there ! Nice thread, I think I have some pictures I could share.
I have been using the Bronica S system since 2008.

Aaron, I like your Maine work, and you seem to be getting on right well with that 100. (I've considered getting that lens for my S2.) I have not meaningfully (i.e., beyond quick family snaps) shot that coastline in 30 years, despite having a brother up near you. All of the very limited time I spend on visits up there is dedicated to my nieces, but I really must tear myself away one time and drag the Bronica or maybe the Rolleiflex out to the rocky shores.

The 100 is a nice, sharp lens, but not really sure how I feel about the focal length. I feel like I always want something a little longer or a little wider. Looking forward to getting a Nikkor 75mm f/2.8 tomorrow in the mail as I've always preferred shooting with a standard FL.

Nothing wrong with hanging with the fam, hence why most of my shots are of my wife and family. If you make it back up here and want to steal away for some shooting and/or a beer, let me know.
 
As a question to the obvious well experienced shooters here, I had a Mamiya C220 back in the day as a walk around replacement for Omega View 4x5. Which body size would be best to start with? RF? 6x4.5, 6x7 or 6x6?

A 6x6 Bronica SQ-Ai would compare weight/size wise with the Mamiya C220.
The 645 ETR cameras and system are the least expensive and is a great system.
The older Bronica S2/S2a are good cameras and can be found for not a lot of money.

Looks like you've mixed and matched a lot of formats there. If I infer from your C220 usage that 6x6 is your preferred format, I'd have to warn that the S2/S2A are idiosyncratic, a bit finicky, and quite a dense brick of a camera. There's nearly zero plastic in them. Likewise the lenses. (But maybe weight doesn't matter to you, coming from 4x5!) I don't own a newer SQ-series camera, but in my very limited use of a friend's example, it seems a bit lighter, more user-friendly, and somewhat more simply engineered than my S2. I will say, though, that my C330 has seen much less use in the years since I got the S2. 🙂 I have fun with the latter; the challenge of its idiosyncrasy is perhaps part of that. I've done some of my least-bad work with it, and Colton certainly uses one to very good effect.

I suppose as a middle step, there's the EC series, nearly as old and heavy as the S2/S2A, but with a little more modern features. I've never handled one of those.

One from a recent trip to Vietnam that made me happy to have slugged around the Bronica , and in
that humidity , it felt a bit like a labour of love . The 50 mm lens was a good choice . Peter
