Yes, he flew by, literally 🙂. This was captured in 2006ish at the Shamrock Marathon in Virginia Beach on the boardwalk around the 2/3 mark of the race. This was the lead runner, a Kenyan I believe, who ended up winning. Going back to your observation, I also noticed when I first saw the print that he doesn’t cast a visible shadow (see the shadows of the posts) - he is so far off the ground that his shadow falls below the lower frame line…

Going through some old scanned files this morning and found a few from "the old days". This was done with an M6 and 35mm Summicron.

A portrait of Kathleen from 1976. Nikon F or F2 with 85/1.8 Nikkor lens.

From about 1972/73. One of my mother's neighbors. His name was John Malone but he wanted everyone to call him "Uncle John". Nikon F, probably with a 35/2.8 Nikkor.




The portrait of Uncle John was done with Panatomic-X. The others were done with Tri-X.
