thanks andy
the R-D1 is so much fun for me.. I still use it, even though I have a D3. I find the R-D1 much more fun to use, than any other camera that isn't film.

Jeez, Ivan, you're giving me *digital* rangefinder envy!
I'd never considered the RD-1 as seriously as the M8(9?) but that skin gives it a completely different feel.

Shoot a IIIc "K" !!!
The Night Sky - B&W, Canon 0.95, and an R-D1
The Night Sky - B&W, Canon 0.95, and an R-D1
This shot was taken to test my infinity focus setting with my m-mount modification.
Conditions were Bpgen-Manfrotto tripid, 1 second, 1600 asa, f/16 using my Canon f/0.95 pegged on infinity stop on the R-D1.
The framing is most of the constellation Orion and with NO cropping.

Leica M3,
I really found the bottle more appealing for this shot, I think because of the contrast the dark brown offered and the reflections. I'm sure that I remained focused enough to neutralize the situation you refer to wherein the glass contained more than the bottle!

there are some very, very nice shots here guys and girls! very "journalistic" some of them.
Here are a couple of mine; the first shot with a CV 15 ultron; the second with the CV 28 1.9 ultron
enjoy.
I agree with the posters who mentioned the fun with the RD1. I sold my CANON 1D series system after it sat idle for the first 9 months of my aquiring the RD1
