I recently purchased a Hexanon 50/2 from somebody here on RFF and I just got it in the mail today. I'm really surprised at how well built the lens is - much better than Zeiss or Voigtlander, IMO.

I think it's better built than modern Leica lenses too.

That could very well be true, Marty. This lens is a real gem. I plan to buy the 35/2 as well.

Hrm, I just got one of these to borrow and I can say, it's superb.
I just threw it on the wives NEX-3 and went snapping away, 400 ISO.

Just got mine today. it is what I thought - warmer and dirtier look than the Planar especially wide open and better built . from f 5.6 I can not see a difference. my Planar is now for sale
