Here's my Buddy.

An apparent stray found and "retrieved" as a tiny kitten by our late 60# Siberian Husky.

At 5-years old, Buddy still thinks he's a puppy, not a cat.

The hunter scans the Savannah for his prey...

His eyes lock on the helpless water buffalo... but it's really far away... and the hunter is tired... and lazy...

and knows where there's a comfy chair...

Almost as big as my cat!

His Excellency is 15 years old. His hobbies are sleeping, eating, terrorizing large dogs, and eating. Did I mention that he likes to eat?

OMG...my wife and I laughed at that. Peppe is the original lunch mouth. He lives to eat, and is constantly trying to convince us that we didn't just feed him...five minutes after having done just that!

Personally, I've maybe seen two or three pictures with cats in that I actually thought were okay. On the whole though, I thoroughly dislike them as a subject. Especially when it's a picture taken with a Holga or a Noctilux.

Cats are too smug to be photographed.

There's the meeting of the two cats in one Leonard Freed photographs, another taken by Jacob Aue Sobol from the I Tokyo series and maybe a couple of others that I can't recall. The one by Leonard Freed I always like to think of as a picture that was conclusive. Photographs of cats need never be taken again. He did it, it's been done as well as it possibly could be, leave it alone.

Still, where is Mr. B?

Better still... Cat jumps on child
