Lenses do have a charm..."Recreation" Surprised me.
I have an Asahi, (8-element) 1.4x50 and Nikkor and both are hard to put down they offer such unique charm.

Crazy memory...I now just recalled altering (film) develop timing to mess with contrast. I will have to dig this up...I "zoned" some with prints and made wholesale changes using film developing time...back when film was not spendy, natch.
