Camping on Lake Superior a couple weeks ago. Super cold water but we couldn't resist a swim.

Playing with an Ansco Memo from 1927.

First roll, on Agfa APX 100, expired in 1993. The shutter was inconsistent, and it took a lot of postprocessing to get a decent image. But the Wollensak Velostigmat lens shows potential.

Second roll, the shutter issue has been resolved. The fresh ORWO UN54+ was a little fast for the conditions, so a bit of camera shake. But a great improvement.

Roll number three. Lets really see what this quirky old camera is capable of with a fine-grain emulsion. Kodak Technical Pan with the camera on a tripod.

While the Technical Pan shows that the Wollensak Velostigmat lens certainly out-resolved the films that were available in 1927, overall, I find the photos made on the Orwo film most pleasing, I think that with the Technical Pan, I have traded shapness for character. Impressive results for such a simple camera, I think.
