Oh, that's interesting. Is it a double exposure?
Yes, a friend left the roll here for me to develop it, but apparently already retrieved the leader. After some month I forgot about the roll and mistook it for being unexposed.. a lucky accident

Yes, it is Doug....from about 20 years (?) ago. I couldn't have come up with the name other than near George. I just discovered the film, and think that I may send it off for a good scan and make a print.

I think it's worth reworking, David, very nice shot. Maybe late afternoon on a late-Fall day, nice light. Interesting in that it's now off the beaten path whereas it once was the main route of Hwy 10 now replaced by Interstate 90. And the pavement slopes right down into the Columbia River on both sides, its level now higher being backed up by Wanapum Dam a little ways downstream. I live about 30 minutes west of there...

With this description I think I know where Frenchman Coulee is. I just didn't know what it was called.

Gorgeous tonality, and a very cool photograph. Nice work Xabier.

Thanks Colton! Yes, when I look at this picture I think I would try again the Pan F film...

Shab, this is really striking aside from great content :) What scanner are you using, if I may ask?

David

Thank you very much David! Yes, I use a Plustek scanner: 8100. But maybe this picture I scanned with a Plustek 7600 scanner, from a friend. And I think the 7600 worked better than the 8100 that I'm using these days.

Brilliant picture Xabier - well done!

Thank you Pan!

Right... If westbound on I-90 take the next exit soon after George, and curve back around to the right parallel with the freeway until the 4-way intersection. Then turn left westward past the ruins of the old gas station on the left (if that's still there). Now continue down into the coulee. If, at the 4-way, you had gone ahead to the north, that takes you to the "Gorge at George" music venue, a natural amphitheater overlooking the Columbia River gorge. And a winery. :)

Okay, this isn't what I was thinking. I was remembering a coulee near Wanapum Dam. You're talking about the other side, north of I-90, which, strangely enough, I haven't wandered.

Murray, an exploration for the future! And I need to wander the back roads on the other side south of George...

Love the fluidity. I can even imagine some (unfortunate) fish in there.

Excellent work Lynn!

Beautiful capture of movement and light Lynn!

An small smile in my eyes... simply, I love it Lynn! Great capture!

This is quite beautiful. Nice work Lynn.

Many thanks guys! I was very happy to get this one.. had to sneak up on them slowly (a flock resting on the rock platform) and then charge to get them airborne. I'm sure any onlookers think I'm nuts.
