Speaking as someone who does shoot MF film and with a DP2M, looking at the quality of these photographs - which are outstanding - I'm not sure you need invest in anything!
Some nice shots there Margus. Your old dented Merrill served u well. Keep them coming..
Cheers guys,
I really do like the Foveons probably the only sensor that little revived by digital interest (I'm from a newer generation - started with digital, but after many years I got really bored with the tech-race and switched to film where I found my true love and passion of photography).
I don't think my DP2s is for long, it's already overdue since it's endured well over 10 000 shots and from what I read many users have them failing between 3000-6000 shots. Hoping I can fetch someone's s/h Merill for a reasonable price in the future though...

Can someone please tell me how to check the number of shots made, I can't find it in the menu?
It seems I'm not used to the ways of digital at all as 10.000 seems not an awful lot, I'm sure I have to be over 2000 already at least. At this rate I'll need to buy a new one every couple of years, if not sooner - doesn't seem very fair, mildly put. Or am I missing something?

Can u point me to the discussion threads about this issue? This is first time I have heard about this?
I accidentially stumbled on some website that claimed those numbers for Sigma DP cameras as a possible "failure-rate". Can't find it with Google now.
It got me little concerned too.
I think my DP2s is more close to 20 000 shots judging the file numbers and resets I've done to it so there could be some "lemons" in those tests or claims too. As said mine is dented, bent and screws missing, sand between the lens, but still shoots.
