thank you very much Benji! If I may say so I believe that this intimacy generally is a 'forte' of my travel / documentary photography. I am a foreigner who has been living on and off for various years, feel quite at home and at ease in the countries I frequent and prefer to take photos of normal people who sometimes may not expect to be of interest to a foreigner. Often they feel and are pleased by my genuine interest and appreciation when I ask them if I may take the photo. I try to capture their first reaction and, composing rather formally, static, 'monumental', to make that communication the main dynamic aspect in the photo.

Bali..the main touristic areas suffer from permanent traffic jam.
a mural in Ubud, the flies set in, "aku datang" means I come / arrive, and the lady wearing a gas mask says, in a bit faulty English, "I want to retierd being exotic":
