Thomas, thanks for starting and consequently keeping this thread going.
I shoot mostly in the lower ISOs with the M8, but due to either experimentation or just plain need, here are a few of my contributions shot at 2500:

cv 15/4.5... a little noise and a lot of grain in this one.

didn't intend for this to be at 2500 ISO, but forgot to change the setting...

There is absolutely nothing interesting or artistic about this shot, but it's ISO 2500 on the M9. Amazing quality; better than ISO 1250 on the M8.

I think you have to expose a bit more generously. That cleans up the images perfectly. Exposing "for the highlights" leads to noise, albeit less so than the M8.

Thanks, Jaap, I agree, although sometimes I like to push even further than 2500 and kinda like the noise (!)
I'm wary of handholding under 1/15th since I've got the original M8 shutter and shake is unfortunately, more evident.
Maybe it's time for a soft release?

Good lord, that is ridiculously nice and clean. It'll be nice to get my hands on my own M9 ... in about three more years the way this economy's going!

I glad this thread exists as my main interest is in available light images and I have wondered about the M8's low light performance as I am considering one in the near future. Seems very functional and usable under most if not almost all conditions I will run into me thinks.
Some nice shots BTW.

scratch my niche
some of the M8 shots above have noticeable banding.
