Thanks Nate! Nikkor makes good on its name : )
Recently I've got an SC Skopar 25mm F4, hope it is also nice.
I second what Nate said. Awesome use of the 50/1.1 swirl in that portrait, Park!

Hi Jon, Thanks a lot! I'm always carrying 50/1.1 these days.
Little bit heavy, but it is awesome indeed!

Mister E, is there a Zeiss S-mount 50mm? It wouldn't be a Sonnar Jena for the Contax, would it? Beautiful renditions.

Yes, there is an S-mount Zeiss Sonnar. Its the same lens as the ZM version, but in S-mount. See the thread below for more info.

Probably will be crucified for this remark
But to my "EYE" the zeiss S sonnar is far Creamier and a tad less Busy swirly than the M mount C version
I much Prefer the s mount.... GORGEOUS INDEED !!!!
Makes me Crave it ..... To the point of WANTING a nikon to put it on
I have Finally found my FAVORITE M lens ... The 35 ASPH Cron
I Think the S Sonnar would be my FAVORITE lens or maybe the 50 Planar 1.4 for a nikon body and a 50 mm yummy ... Yeah !

Helen, you can't beat the Nikon SP... I really enjoyed the S3 2000 before the M3 and am now wishing for an SP myself.

... likes film again.
Helen, you don`t want to use an M-mount system and S-mount system in parallel, the different direction of focus will drive you nuts.
I used the S-mount Zeiss Sonnar for some time and I preferred it over the Millennium and for sure the 50/1.4 S-C lenses but regarding focus direction ...
EDIT: If you are interested into an S2 drop me a PM ...

Yes indeed. Why on earth do Leica lenses focus in the wrong direction
