Post your two favorite street photos

Great photo Plexi. What camera and lens did you use?
For the benefit of non Scandinavian speakers Richard's comment of "jatte fint" can be loosely translated as terrific. It literallly means hugely fine. The a in jatte has 2 dots over it like a German umlaut and it is pronounced yette. I wholeheartedly agree.

For this shot I used a Nikon F100 with the 70-200VR lens, T-MAX 400 film... I now use a Bessa L with the CV 25/4 for my street shots, along with a Ricoh KR-10 Super/Pentax50mm f/1.4

The F100 got a bit too obvious with the 700-200 attatched ;)

I`m very proud of that picture, and it`s the first pict I`m going to print when I get darkroom up and running in a few weeks...

Thanks for your nice comments

latest favourite

this is my latest favourite and also my screensaver & avatar.
i usually prefer people pics but lately i find myself heading out very early in the morning and trying to beat the crowds.

Great shots Joe.

Since my photos posted here were taken with an SLR here are two recent M3 photos that I kinda like.

Details: Leica M3, Summicron 50/2.0, Fuji Acros 100 w/ yellow filter.

There were alreay a couple of professional photographers on-site taking photos of the crowd demonstrating outside of Macy's so taking photos of them were not 'new' to them. Snapped about half-a-roll there over about 20 minutes just trying to find angles and subjects that I liked.

From the last roll.

Details: Leica M3, Summicron 50/2.0 (metered with MR-4 meter).

This was downtown San Francisco at Union Square. A stage performance kept the attention of the mother - but not of the young child. Took two photos.

I see this is a very old thread, woke up by some great shots attached, so here is my contribution.

This one is from my first roll with a rangefinder (yashica GSN), neopan1600 @ 1000, commercially developped, print scanned on flatbed.

I had to say a few times, "khm, khm" until she looked at me. I call it "charcoal boy, cotton girl". Can you find the "model" on the photo?:)

And the second one. Amsterdam, a very busy street in the very downtown. When she noticed the two eyes of my yashica-D, she was rather surprised. She stopped playing and we had a nice conversation:)

TLR, Tri-x 120, flatbed print scan (as always). On a 30x30 cm print, there's amazing detail in her black coat...

This is one from a couple weekends ago. Queen St W in Toronto

Olympus Stylus Epic, Fuji Superia 800

Beautiful photograph, plexi! It's touching and even though the girl appears in the corner, the negative space speaks volumes about her feelings. Excellent!

My personal version of Kris's photo in page 2 of this thread (which I'm happy to see come back to life!).

BTW, Barcelona, Metro St. Antoni, Leica M6TTL, Hexanon 35/2.

Pherdinand, her eye contact in your first photo is priceless. I like that one.

My favourite from recent shooting is this one. Nothing really special I know, but somehow I like it a lot. They were chasing a pigeon and perhaps it connects to my memory of the scene in the movie 21 Grams. I dislike the DOF created by 35mm though because it includes the busy background.

CV 35/2.5 + Y52 filter + BW400CN (replacement of T400CN and Portra B&W)

MOM, do I HAVE to be in the parade ???

MOM, do I HAVE to be in the parade ???

This is from yesterday's 75th Pet Parade in downtown, Olympia. She may have won a ribbon, but she ain't a "Happy Camper" - LOL.
Taken with the new (to me) Zorki 4K, J8 lens, Portra 400 B&W.

I'm pretty happy myself with this one, another shot of the faux Colon statue in La Rambla but with two 'accidental' subjects this time :) Great thread, glad to see it receives constant 'feeding' :D
