Great set of portraits here. I like 'environmental' portraits, and these are super. And The Plate made me smile.... ahhhh, light!

Thanks for the compliments! That plate was one of those things, just well illuminated, and I went for the irony of the empty plate of food as a bit of a joke with all the instagram food-porn shots that are everywhere.

So VERY cool!! Do you remember what your exposure time was?
Thanks. It was right around 45 seconds at iso 3200. There were a few others with lower iso's and longer exposures but I prefer the way the stars stand out in this one rather than streaking across the sky.

This works really well for me Paul. The brass and distant hills are very evocative in their own right but nicely composed together as they are. Excellent.
BTW - Are you using spot metering with your portraits? I find myself using Spot + EVF for a lot of portraiture done on the X Pro1 and it is a cracking combination.
